Pastime is a design studio specialising in brand and campaigns, web and digital, print and packaging and signage and styling. We help individuals and organisations across varying industries define who they are, tell their story and connect with their audience. Our process is shaped by strategic thinking and collaboration with our creative network, allowing us to deliver thoughtful and engaging design outcomes.
Beg Your Pardon (2025)
Beg Your Pardon specialises in made-to-measure suiting and has been the tailoring partner of the Adelaide 36ers since 2019. We were approached to refresh the brand with the goal of future digital expansion. We started by clarifying the brand’s core purpose of crafting well-fitted garments with traditional practices, and target audience of 25-50-year-fashion-conscious men seeking contemporary suiting. This helped in developing a clear tone of voice and creative direction, both centred around sophistication, personability, and gentlemanly presentation.
The primary logo pays homage to legacy fabric mills through the form of a heritage mark. These are often seen in suit jackets using premium materials, with the mark reinforcing Beg Your Pardon’s commitment to refined craftmanship and tradition. The brand name wraps around the badge and positions the cashmere brandmark at the centre, also reflecting BYP’s commitment to quality wool and garment production. The identity is supported by a BYP monogram nested in a linework crest that is referenced on garment labels, and a dark brown and warm grey primary colour scheme, creating a traditional, though elegant feel across print and packaging material.
